WRIGHT, DEXTER CHARLES JR.

Dexter Charles Wright, Jr., 72, passed away May 20, 2016 at the Beaches Baptist Hospital. Chuck, as his many friends called him, was a long time resident of the Beaches; most recently in the Sawgrass Community.
Mr. Wright’s career paths included teaching and fine art glass production for which he received many awards and prizes. He is represented in many private collections throughout the United States. He was also journeyman clay sculptor who worked for many years in the automotive design industry in the Detroit area where he was born, raised, and educated.
Mr. Wright was a person of great taste and discrimination. His beautiful collection of crafts, fine art and furnishings will be a lasting gift to his family.
He will be warmly remembered by his family and friends, who were shocked and heartbroken by his unexpected death. He is survived by sons, Day and William, and brothers, Burton and Allen.
