WAYNE PERRY SWEAT, SR.

Wayne Perry Sweat Sr., 75, passed this life on May 30, 2016. He was a life long resident of Jacksonville and retired Sergeant from the City of Jacksonville Beach Police Department. Wayne was a member of FOP and enjoyed being outdoors especially fishing and hunting.
Surviving family members include one son, Wayne Perry Sweat Jr.(Melissa); a sister, Jeanette S. Powell; brothers, Robert (Judy) and Lynn Ray (Pat); former wife, Barbara A. Sweat and several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Vida Mae Sweat and Lloyd M. Sweat; a sister, June Taylor Cercy and brother-in-law, Ralph Powell.
Services will be held in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL on Monday, June 6, 2016, at 11:00 am, with Pastor David Adair officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.
