Many contribute to create Beaches Habitat community

In 2005, a 90-unit apartment complex at Atlantic Boulevard and Mayport Road in Atlantic Beach was condemned, and by 2008 there was nothing but cement slabs on the property. Today, the property is named OceanGate and is home to 24 families with more units on the way. No longer an apartment complex, the families moving in are owners.
